Ricky Kildea – Director and Lead Consultant

 

 

Ricky Kildea is a Dja Dja Wurrung man from the Laanecoorie ‘Languycoorie’ mob on the Loddon River in Central Victoria. He is a strong believer that education is the key to success and creating opportunities for a better future for our people.

His passion for Aboriginal Education has been enhanced through his professional career in a range of educational sectors including Tertiary Education, TAFE and Corrections Education. This extensive knowledge and experience has provided Ricky with an in-depth understanding of issues and challenges in Aboriginal education and a clear direction on successful study strategies and outcomes for Aboriginal students.

His educational values, upbringing and culture knowledge have been accentuated with the strong belief and commitment to continually make opportunities for improvements in education and enrich study experiences and support for Indigenous students and staff. ​

Ricky is a highly dedicated and passionate Aboriginal consultant who is committed to reconciliation and creating meaningful and lasting working relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples, communities and organisations. He demonstrates the very highest standards of management, administration and governance.

Ricky also has a passion for health, fitness and personal development, combining his physical education qualifications and experience with holistic and cultural well-being. He specialises in mentoring aboriginal staff to develop career plans to progress, succeed and excel both personally and professionally.
